Terms and Conditions

Jurisdiction: Republic of Uganda & East African Community (EAC)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any service offered by Green World Safaris Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “our”, or “the Company”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

2. Company Registration and Jurisdiction

Green World Safaris Ltd is a legally registered tourism company under the laws of the Republic of Uganda, operating in accordance with:

  • The Uganda Tourism Act, 2008,
  • The Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019,
  • And aligned with the East African Community (EAC) Tourism Protocols and Regulations.

All disputes, legal actions, or claims will be governed under Ugandan law and, where applicable, the harmonized laws of the East African Community.

3. Services Provided

We offer travel-related services including but not limited to:

  • Safari bookings and guided tours
  • Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking experiences
  • Cultural tourism and nature expeditions
  • Safari Vehicle Hire
  • Travel consultation and support

All services are subject to availability and may vary depending on weather, park regulations, and other unforeseen circumstances.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients are expected to:

  • Provide accurate and complete personal and travel information.
  • Obtain necessary travel documents (e.g., visas, permits).
  • Adhere to local laws, conservation guidelines, and park rules during the tour.
  • Comply with payment terms and timelines agreed upon.

Failure to comply may result in denial of service without refund.

5. Bookings and Payments

  • All bookings must be confirmed with a deposit of at least 30% of the total cost.
  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before the tour date.
  • Payments can be made via Bank Transactions or Pesapal only.
  • Cancellations made 30 days or more before the tour date are eligible for a 70% refund (excluding the charges for the permits) of the deposit. Cancellations made less than 14 days before the tour are non-refundable.

6. Changes & Cancellations by the Company

Green World Safaris reserves the right to:

  • Cancel or reschedule tours due to safety, health, weather, or political instability.
  • Substitute hotels, vehicles, or guides where necessary.
  • Provide suitable alternatives of equal or greater value if any component of the tour becomes unavailable.

Clients will be notified in a timely manner, and efforts will be made to minimize inconvenience.

7. Health, Safety & Insurance

  • Clients are responsible for arranging their own travel and medical insurance.
  • The Company assumes no liability for injury, illness, death, loss of property, or delays beyond our control.
  • Participation in safari activities, including trekking or off-road excursions, is at the client’s own risk.

8. Data Protection & Privacy

We respect your privacy in accordance with the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 and the EAC Cyberlaws Framework.
By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data for:

  • Booking and communication purposes
  • Compliance with legal and regulatory obligations
  • Internal improvement and client support

We do not sell or share your information with third parties without consent, except where required by law.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our platforms (website, brochures, images, and media) is the intellectual property of Green World Safaris Ltd and may not be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

Green World Safaris Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Acts of third parties (e.g., airlines, hotels, national parks)
  • Losses arising from unforeseeable circumstances (e.g., acts of God, pandemics, political unrest)
  • Errors resulting from client-provided misinformation

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from this agreement shall first be addressed through mediation. If unresolved, the dispute shall be referred to:

  • The Ugandan courts or
  • EAC judicial mechanisms, as appropriate.

12. Amendments

Green World Safaris reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Clients will be notified of material changes via our website or email.
